- All other Vedic mantras are included in the chanting of Hare Krishna. So just by chanting this mantra, you get the benefit of all others.
- Chanting Hare Krishna purifies not only you but every living entity around you. Whoever hears the chanting gets spiritual benefit.
- A person who chants Hare Krishna develops all good qualities.
- You can chant Hare Krishna softly for personal meditation or loudly with your family or friends. Both ways work.

Lord Chaitanya has taught us by example how to love Krishna. Sankirtana and Nagar Sankirtana (Harinam). Chanting on the beads is more for Krita yuga, is considered “Dhayato Vishnum” and we should not stop there.

One person I preached to yesterday asserted it was childish of the Hare Krishnas to claim that the Hare Krishna mantra is the best name of God to chant. Why is it the best name and have more potency than other names in other religions that also name the same God?

Yes, to claim it’s the best name to chant may seem a little childish. Srila Prabhupada encouraged people to chant whatever name of God they might find in their own scripture. And if you’re not committed to any other name, he said, then why not chant Hare Krishna?
Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu said that God has innumerable names, with His transcendental potency invested in all of them. So one may chant any name of God one prefers.
The name “Krishna” addresses God in the attractive form in which He shows not only His limitless wealth, strength, fame, wisdom and detachment, but also His unsurpassed personal beauty. This form is therefore said to be “all-attractive.” In no other form does God display the sweetness He shows as Krishna, in which His pastimes as a simple cowherd excel in spontaneous loving intimacy even His majestic acts as the Lord of all creation or as the Supreme King in His distant kingdom, the spiritual world.
Some names denote God generally or vaguely, some with a sense of His impersonal all-pervasiveness, whereas the name Krishna directly indicates the Supreme Personality of Godhead in His original all-attractive form.
We therefore prefer the name Krishna, and we invite others to chant whatever authentic name of God they prefer or to join us in chanting Hare Krishna.
